Every Miners lamp has its own individual Serial Number.
Lamp can be filled with parafin and lit. This version does not have an adjustable wick, so the wick can only moved up when the lamp is extinguished.
This lamp is hand crafted in the heart of the Welsh coal field by the sons and daughters of miners. It is made of brass and designed for use as an ornamental lamp only. It does not contain the filters and seals contained in the genuine underground models. Each lamp comes in an attractive presentation tube with a brief history and instructions for use. There is a small space below the Miners Lamps' oval badge where a short message can be engraved. An example of a message engraved in the past, is as follows;
